Jurga Bendtsen
Midwestern girl turned MBA turned designer.  Dawn restored a home in the Village of Clarkston where she lives with her husband Chris, three children and dogs. Passionate about all forms of art, history and architecture.  She loves to think outside of the box, but believes that all creativity comes from the Creator.

Dawn started Artichoke Interiors' Design Team to meet customer needs in every area of design.  "The synergy of talent works!"  She also calls upon skilled contractors and architects when needed.  Her goal is to help Artichoke customers "Love Where They Live."
Originally from the North Shore of IL, Kristen now lives in Bloomfield Hills, MI with her husband Billy and son Stone.  She grew up in the art studios of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated from Central Michigan University. Kristen is passionate for great design, doodling with good inky pens, eating great meals, traveling and collecting wooden spoons, and loves spending time with her family, dog, and rescue thoroughbred horse. Kristen believes that all great conversations start in the kitchen, especially a well designed one.
Born and raised in Lithuania, today Jurga lives in MI with her husband and two children.  Being the daughter of an architect and seamstress, she has always been a part of the design world.  As a teenager, Jurga was a track athlete and earned Gold Medals for Lithuania in both the Jr. World Games and Jr. Olympics.  Her drive and passion for athletics has transferred to family and the arts.  She believes that successul design is more than following a formula, it is about helping to create a home that reflects not only good design, but you as well.  Jurga believes that "there is a form of Art in all of us."

Julia graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a degree in business and then went back to school to pursue her love for Interior Design. Born in Bay City, MI, Julia lived in a home of a designer's dream.  The home was built with secret passages and built-ins where not one inch of the house was unused.  This fed her love of design which flowed outside into floor plans created with sticks and fallen leaves.  Having never lost her dream, she now works with Artichoke Interiors creating real life floor plans, turning concept into reality for her clients.

Kathy Ferer

As far back as she can remember, Kathy says home "ambiance" has been a huge part of her life.  Not just decorating for the sake of making things look "pretty," but more for how it makes you feel and how it makes your guests feel.  Your home needs to function effortlessly for you and your family.  She loves to experiment with textures, color combinations, and crossover styles.  Her artistic flair for reviving and combining older pieces with new and fresh items help to meet the challenge of thinking "out of the box" while meeting goals set by her clients.  Kathy feels like a combination of repurposing, remodeling, and rearranging can help get YOUR home's "ambiance" where you want it to be!

Cheryl hasn’t worked a day since she started with Artichoke Interiors over five years ago! She loves it too much to call it that. Making her home in Clarkston, a beautiful area where vistas include many lakes, ponds, and green spaces has helped Cheryl develop her affinity for designing windows! Well-appointed views, both inside and out, can transform a great house into a warm home. Cheryl believes that a beautiful design starts with these essential “bones” of a room. Whether its luscious fabrics or sophisticated blinds, great window treatments will make a difference in how you feel when you “come home”.
